Women’s Circle

Time TBC, Sunday 9th February

Bristol Yoga Space, Princes Place, BS7 8NP

‘‘I just wanted to say thank you for everything over the last couple of years. Your classes have been invaluable to me every week. Thank you for providing a safe space for me to let go. Your heart-centred approach to teaching has been such a blessing to myself and many others in the room I’m sure.’’

- Jess

In my work supporting women through pregnancy, birth, the postnatal period and motherhood, I’ve witnessed first hand the need for women to have a support network and community. As women, and as mothers, we hold, carry and support others A LOT. The mental load is immense and the juggling of all the tasks can feel overwhelming.

In this women’s circle we will come together to see, hear and witness each other. We’ll start with a guided relaxation practice (yoga nidra) to allow us to arrive into the space and back home to ourselves. Following this there will be an opportunity to introduce yourself and to share anything you feel called to. They is no obligation to share, you may simply share your name, or you may feel the need to speak and offload. There is something deeply healing about being listened to and witnessed, without being interrupted, or advised, or told you should do something differently.

This women’s circle coincides with the new moon on the same weekend, and offers us an opportunity to celebrate all that we have become over the last year and to shed all that is no longer needed as we move towards the Winter Solstice and the end of the year.

Following our sharing circle we will take some gentle movement if time allows, or we may simply share tea and snacks depending on the needs of the group (or we may do both)!

If feel called to join or to explore the power of sitting in circle get in touch with me to claim your space, or to ask any questions you may have about being in circle together.

‘‘A circle of women may just be the most powerful force known to humanity. If you have one, embrace it. If you need one, seek it. If you find one, for the love of all that is good and holy, dive in’’.

About Me

Charlie Musgrove, Specialist Pregnancy, Postnatal & Women’s Yoga Teacher

I have been practicing yoga since 2004 and teaching since 2010. Following the birth of my two daughters I trained in pregnancy and postnatal yoga, as well as baby yoga and baby massage, and I’ve been sharing these teachings since 2017. My practice, teaching and training continue to evolve. More recently I’ve trained in Well Woman Yoni Shakti Yoga Therapy to support my work with women in various stages of their lifecycle. My classes are supportive and welcoming, with a mix of nurturing flows and restorative postures, as well as ample time for rest!
