Pregnancy Yoga

‘‘I just wanted to let you know we had our baby girl on Tuesday morning and the techniques from pregnancy yoga really helped! I didn’t realise but I was fully dilated by the time we got to the hospital. The breathing, affirmations, and rocking on all fours I learnt in your pregnancy yoga classes got me through labour at home and managing the pain calmly. Thank you!’’

My pregnancy yoga classes help to ease out the physical body, relieving common discomfort in pregnancy such as low back ache, rib pain or tight lower leg muscles. The classes also help to prepare and open the body ready for birth. I include valuable breathing techniques such as ujjayi & golden thread breath, to help you stay grounded and relaxed during the birth of your baby. Alongside these benefits there is also the opportunity to relax and rest, and to connect with your growing and developing baby and the needs of your pregnancy.

My classes are relaxed and informal, we have a welcome circle at the start of the class to check in with how everyone is so the class can be tailored to everyone’s needs.  As well as the benefits of the yoga practice there is also the chance to meet other women who are pregnant too and who will be giving birth around the same time.  This helps to cultivate a support network during your pregnancy and as you transition into the new world of being a mum once your baby is born.

Classes are suitable from 12 weeks of pregnancy onwards and you don’t need to have any prior experience of yoga to join the class.

I teach pregnancy yoga on a Monday evening, 6.30 - 7.30 pm, at Skyboat Play Cafe, 4 Harcourt Road, Bristol, BS6 7RG. Contact me to book. I look forward to meeting you soon! Cost is £15 drop in or 4 classes for £45 (to be used within 6 weeks of purchase).

‘‘Thank you so much for all your support and guidance during my pregnancy. My 9-year fertility journey reached a huge milestone on Friday when our gorgeous baby girl was born. I’m looking forward to returning to your postnatal yoga classes soon!’’
